Keep Your Hair Healthy This Summer

Keep Your Hair Healthy This Summer
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Lorraine_Burke]Lorraine Burke

Summer just around the corner means a whole new look, a whole new wardrobe and a whole new hairstyle. It’s time to get outside, start tanning and enjoying the summer sun as much as possible. Being sunsmart with sunscreen and taking care of your skin during the warmer months is essential to a healthy glow, just as looking after your hair in the sun is essential to a healthy shine. Taking care of your hair during the warmer months and getting the most out of your locks is easy by following a few of these tips and choosing the right treatments.

UV rays from the sun change the colour of your hair dramatically and you might find that your new colour doesn’t look so good after you’ve been lying in the sun all day!
But don’t worry as there are a few things you can do to prevent this from happening.

Look for sulfate-free shampoo

Detergents found in harsh shampoos can dry out the hair, cause fraying and create frizz. Steering clear of regular shampoos and seeking out sulfate-free alternatives is a fantastic idea when the sun is shining outside. Regular conditioning treatments will keep your hair full and beautiful, so make sure you look to them to get you through the warmer months too.

Use deep conditioning treatments

Warm weather and UV rays dry out your natural oils quickly and lead to that frizzy, awful look that many of us dread when we see the sun above us without a cloud in the sky. Overnight conditioning treatments can revitalise the hair and lock in moisture that is lost during the day. Look for products that add moisture specifically for best results.

Use heat-styling spray

The humidity in the summer months can cause hair to become frizzy. As a result, many of us reach for the hair straighteners or blow dryers in order to tame our locks. As heat damage from these can cause colour to fade, a heat styling spray can protect colour and lock in moisture.

Apply SPF hair protection before you hit the beach

When you know you’re going to be spending an extended period of time in the sun, use a leave-in, SPF protection hair product to stop some of the harm that UV rays do. You could alternatively wear a hat, but then how are you going to show off those beautiful locks?

With the right treatments and a bit of sun awareness, taking care of your hair during summer is easy. Look your best by following a few of these tips and enjoy the sun without enduring the damage.

The Advantages of Waxing Over Shaving

The Advantages of Waxing Over Shaving
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Irvan_Sanjaya]Irvan Sanjaya

For many years there has been a great debate about whether it is better to wax or shave hair. Of course each method of hair removal offers advantages and disadvantages. However, if you really look closely at these two methods, it’s easy to see why waxing is usually the better choice. Here are several advantages of waxing instead of shaving:

• It saves time. Probably the best thing about waxing is the fact that it saves a lot of time. You just go to the spa one time and get it done, and then you’re set for a few weeks. This gives you a lot more time every morning to take care of other things that you need to handle.

• You don’t have to deal with nicks, cuts, or razor burn. When you shave, you’ve got to be very careful not to cut or nick your skin. You could even find yourself with scars if you cut yourself shaving often enough. Waxing results in fewer nicks and cuts because you aren’t running a razor across your skin every single day.

• There’s no more embarrassing stubble. When you shave, the hair is cut off at the skin line. Depending on how quickly your hair grows, you could find yourself with stubble before the day is even through. Stubble not only looks unsightly, but it also results in abrasive skin. Even if you don’t have to shave every day, missing a day when you should shave is quite embarrassing because you’ve got stubble. It’s much better to wax so that you don’t have stubble left behind.

• You don’t have to deal with hair removal every single day. Waxing actually pulls hair out at the root, so you don’t even need to think about hair removal all the time. Usually a wax lasts anywhere from two to six weeks, depending on how quickly your hair grows.

• Waxed skin tends to be smoother and less itchy, especially if you have it done at a spa. The wax used for hair removal contains moisturizers and other ingredients that are designed to nourish your skin. When you aren’t dealing with stubble all the time and you’re using quality products like those used at a spa, your skin will simply look and feel better.

• Often people who wax see their hair begin to grow more slowly and finely. This means that not only will you have to wax less and less often over time, but when your hair does grow back, it will be much finer than it was before. This means that when it’s time for another wax, any hair you do have will be more difficult to see.

• It’s better for skin that’s prone to irritation, especially from shaving. Rashes and other skin irritations are very common with shaving. But quality waxes like what they use at a spa will not irritate your skin.

While some people say that waxing is painful, it’s important to realize that if your wax is performed by a professional who really knows what she’s doing; it’s almost pain-free. This is why if you do decide to wax, you should definitely see a professional. An expert who works at a spa will make sure that the process is done correctly and safely so that you can reap all of the above benefits.

Spray Tanning How to Get That Perfect Golden Glow

Spray Tanning: How to Get That Perfect Golden Glow
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Basil_M_Haney]Basil M Haney

Who doesn’t want a fabulous tan without the risks of getting skin cancer, wrinkles or dry skin? Spray tanning, which dyes the color of your skin temporarily, is just the thing for you! Not only is it painless, fast and simple, you get the exact results you desire and end up looking like a million bucks without having to spend endless hours in the sun! However, to achieve that healthy glow and ensure that your tan lasts as long as possible, here is a list of do’s and don’ts to help you out.

Dos

• Shower and exfoliate before your tanning session as it will remove all the dead skin from your body, hence ensuring that you have a long lasting tan. Rather than using an oil-based exfoliating scrub, use a water-based one as oil will interfere with the spray tanning solution from settling properly. Also, make sure that you don’t exfoliate too hard, otherwise your tan may turn out splotchy.

• Shave or wax prior to the tanning session as it will keep your skin even and doing these afterwards will exfoliate the skin and not allow the tan to develop properly.

• For best results, do not apply moisturizers, make up, deodorant or body oil before your appointment as it will inhibit the spray tanning solution from developing properly.

• Wear a swimsuit, underwear or thong, whatever you’re comfortable in and remove all jewelry items.

• Tie away all your hair from your face and neck using hair ties, clips, hair bands, etc.

• Ask the assistant how to position yourself and any other questions that you may have before the session.

• Wear loose, protective clothing and flip flops after your session and make sure not to get wet since the moment water touches the areas sprayed on, the tanning will cease to develop further.

• Moisturize every day after your tan to increase the amount of days it stays on. You should also use a moisturizing soap free body wash.

• Remember to apply nail polish to your fingers and toes so that your nails are not affected.

• Use a tan extender, preferably one that has a light DHA bronzer, to increase the life of your tan.

DON’T

• Take a shower for at least 24 hours after your spray tan as contact with water will stop the tanning process.

• Go to the gym for a few days as sweat will cause your tan to develop unevenly and poorly. Also, don’t let any pets lick you until after your first shower.

• Touch, scratch or rub the sprayed areas right after your session as your fingers and hands will turn browner and it will leave patches on your skin.

• It is advised to not wear a bra or any tight clothes for at least 6 hours afterward.

• When showering for the first time after the session, make sure not to use a loofah or scrub or rub. Avoid a long, hot shower, or a steam and sauna as well since it will fasten the exfoliation process.

Why Gluten Free Makeup Is Important

Why Gluten Free Makeup Is Important
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Afton_Jones]Afton Jones

We all know about the gluten free diet. Those who live with Celiac or gluten intolerance of any kind have become serious Gluten Finder-Outers, scanning long lists of ingredients, calling companies and standing firm on the need to live completely and utterly without gluten in their diet.

But what about gluten from other sources? Have you ever thought about getting it from your makeup too?

It’s true: Gluten in cosmetics is extremely common. Wheat acts as a source of vitamin E, a stickiness/holding agent, while Oats are used for skin refinement and nourishment. It can hide in dozens of complicatedly named ingredients, can contaminate even “naturally” gluten free products and is accepted as a normal ingredient for every type of cosmetic, skincare, hair care and everything else. It is everywhere you look, if you take the time.

Now, gluten molecules cannot penetrate the skin as far as we scientifically know, but some products such as lipstick are actually on, in or around our mouths at all times. At some point or another, it’s going into our bodies.

Not only that, but many Celiacs – diagnosed as having the autoimmune disease and not allergic – have inexplicable trouble with gluten when it comes in contact with their skin, causing what would be medically classified as “allergy” symptoms. Such as terrible rashes, eczema, dry and itching eyes, swelling, bleeding sores and more. As always with Celiac, the exact symptoms vary from person to person.

We do not know why Celiacs have issues with topical gluten. In fact, some doctors flat out deny the possibility. Others, such as Dr. Rodney Ford, simply follow the evidence they see in their practices- which is that some Celiacs do have reactions. Perhaps someday studies will be done that can explain it for us and solve the puzzle. But for now, a quick look into the Celiac community is proof enough. Hundreds of Celiacs have removed gluten from their skincare, hair care and cosmetics and found their acne melted away after a few days, their watery eyes cleared up, or their inexplicable and seemingly random headaches vanished.

But even if a Celiac does not have reactions to topical gluten, allowing it to stay in cosmetics is asking for trouble. Every time you apply foundation, don’t let it touch your mouth! When you scrunch styling gel into your hair, wash those hands and wash ‘em GOOD before you eat those hot wings. And lipstick? Pfft, forget it! It’s over and done with pretty much the instant you put it on.

Sadly, very few companies truly realize the importance of gluten free makeup. They understand that it’s a market and they want to cash in on those desperate to find safe cosmetics. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to turn a profit!! But so many companies are quick to claim the “gluten free” label without really understanding what that means. For Celiacs, this is not an issue to be trifled with, especially in the case of products that will certainly be ingested (such as lipstick). This is real and this is dangerous.

Finding gluten free makeup can be hard sometimes. But if you are Celiac or gluten intolerant in some other way and are having strange skin issues, this could potentially be the answer for you.

At the end of the day, it’s up to you to decide just how much gluten you want in your life. You are the only one who can tell if it bothers you or not, whether physically or mentally.

To me and for many other people like me, gluten free makeup is not just important. It’s vital.

10 Ways To Jump Start Your New Year Resolutions

Ten Ways To Jump Start Your New Year Resolutions!
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kim_Simpson]Kim Simpson

Time passes so quickly! Just a few short weeks ago we were coming off our holiday food, drink, spending, and party hangovers. We were also launching our New Year resolutions. Here we are, already into the second month of the new year. My biggest problem on a day-to-day basis – and probably yours, as well – is finding enough time to get everything done. Seems that society and our daily lives speed up, but things just never slow down, hence the battle to ‘get it all done’. If you made a resolution on January 1 and you’re struggling just a bit, or maybe you put it off until another day, month, or season, no worries. You can make and keep a resolution virtually any day of the year.

Equally important, keep in mind you don’t have to make your resolution a reality overnight. You have the power of time: 11 months remain in the year. One small step, one day at a time for one year can reap huge rewards! Consider these tips, as you ponder your next move:

Get Organized. If you’re buried in paper and clutter it’s hard to motivate toward achieving a dream, resolution and daily goals. I like to do a top-to-bottom house cleaning three or four times each year, and definitely do a major cleaning right around the New Year. In addition to helping you to find things, maintain clarity, and keep your focus on daily goals, a thoroughly clean and organized house/office makes you feel great. If your organization project will take longer than a day or weekend, break it into small projects that you can tackle over a few weeks, a month, or perhaps a quarter – whatever works best for you.

Keep It Simple. Focus on just one major life-changing dream at at time. Turn your dream into a specific one-sentence resolution. Make that resolution a reality with small daily steps/goals. Take one small step at a time, one day at a time for one year. Don’t create a long unrealistic list of things that you think you ‘should do’, but know you ‘won’t do’. That’s a recipe for failure and broken promises. Tackle just one dream about which you have great passion, desire and interest.

Learn And Plan: Do your homework to learn the ‘who, what, when, where, why, and how’ that will enable you to build a plan that will take you from idea to achievement: fulfilling your dream, your resolution. Build an outline. Break large long-term goals into small daily steps that can be taken one at a time. Keep learning as you go. The research and learning never ends. There is always something new to learn.

Set Priorities: You can’t get it all done in one day, that’s not realistic. Know the next 10, 20, 30, 50, 100 daily goals that are necessary, set priorities, and tackle them one by one. Use your daily goals like building blocks. One success on top of another will generate enthusiasm, confidence, self esteem, motivation, and momentum. Your daily goals are like stairs to the stars. Keep climbing. Keep reaching. Each step will take you closer to capturing a handful of stardust.

Write It Down: A Daily Resolution Diary will help you to build a plan, track progress, create a timeline, measure milestones, and reward yourself for hard-won victories. Your Diary will also keep you organized and make daily and weekly Check-Ins a snap.

Do It Daily: Make Every Day New Year’s Day. Make Every Day Count. Take action, one step at a time, one day at a time for one year. That approach removes unrealistic pressure to move mountains overnight. Be patient. The rewards will add up exponentially over time like money in the bank drawing interest.

Tell The World: Enlist your friends and family in your quest. Ask for their advice and support. Ask them to join you in daily activities! Start a blog and record your journey, or join a blogging community filled with people who share your dream. Join a club. Take a class. Plant Post-It notes at work and home as reminders. Wear your resolution on your T-shirt. Carry your resolution around on your coffee mug. Put it on your computer screen and your mouse pad. Focus on your goals each and every day. Most importantly, keep your eye on the ultimate outcome – what you stand to gain when you fulfill your dream, resolution and daily goals!

Be Flexible: Obstacles will appear like dandelions on a Spring day and ultimately interfere with the best-laid plans. You often will be Overtaken By Events (OBE). Plan for the obstacles and embrace them. Use them to build knowledge, experience, strength, and determination. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself, use obstacles to build self esteem, momentum and motivation by overcoming and beating them. Don’t dwell on them. Instead, handle them and move on to the next step!

Celebrate Your Successes: Give yourself a pat on the back! Be proud of your accomplishments, and large and small victories. Use them to fuel the fire of passion for your dream. Reward yourself often. Small pleasures for a job well done will keep you interested, enthusiastic and moving forward day after day.

Keep Your Eye On The Prize: Know your ultimate goal. Know what you want to achieve. Visualize what your dream, your resolution will look like at the end of the journey. Stay focused on the ‘brass ring’ and when you finally ‘grab it, hang on tight and take it to the next level’!

Remember: I Resolve To Achieve My New Year Resolutions, One Resolution, One Day At A Time For One Year. It’s your choice. Do it today. Turn your resolution into reality in five simple, common sense steps: Dare To Dream, Decide, Define, Develop A Plan, and Do It Daily. Make your resolution a permanent Lifetime Resolution, something that’s with you for good! Above all, Be A Resolutionista, someone who makes resolutions, keeps resolutions, and enjoys the journey! Make Every Day New Year’s Day. Make Every Day Count. Let’s Go For It!

Most likely you will want to wear something extra special to work the day of your Christmas party. This will certainly help you get into the festive mood.

Here are few tips where you can easily spruce up your makeup so you will look great and fit right in with the party mood.

Your normal cosmetic applications would consist of the day look when setting out to work. This usually focuses on neutral colors and a light natural application. Choose the colors for today’s application that are going to work well with the special clothing you have chosen to wear.

Get out your cosmetic bag and add some extra products to it for use later on in the day. Choose eye colors, blush and lipstick that are within the same color family as the makeup you are going to start the day with. For example, most often you will find in your eye color pallets different shades of the same color. Do not forget the facial powder! Also you may want to take along your blush that you usually reserve for evening wear.

By the time the party event is about to get into full swing it is the afternoon and your colors are beginning to fade. So the first thing you need to do is head to the ladies room and get ready for some intense touch-ups. Use a tissue to gently blot your face which will help to even out your foundation and remove surface debris which create a dull look. Using your more intense colors, re-apply your eye shadow, blush and lipstick. You may not usually resort to mascara during office hours, but make today an exception. As a final touch give yourself a gentle spray of your favorite cologne.

Make sure that you are using quality brands of makeup products. These will last longer and do not forget you will likely be in a space that is more crowded than normal. Most office settings are not cut out for large party gatherings such as those that take place during the Christmas season. You may find that it gets quite warm, and inferior makeup products will soon begin to fade under these circumstances. There will probably be lots of Christmas photos being taken and you want to look your best.

4 Ways To Keep Skin From Drying Out In The Winter

4 Ways To Keep Skin From Drying Out In The Winter
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Sameer_Patel]Sameer Patel

By the time winter rolls around, it’s often a welcome relief: no more unbearable heat, finding peppermint-flavored things at every retailer and of course, the chance of snow. However, there’s one thing we never look forward to, and that is the dry, cracked skin that becomes inevitable from November to February.

This year, make it your resolution to not fall victim to “Elephant Hands” (or feet, or elbows). Here are four ways you can use moisturizers as dry skin remedies for softer skin this winter.

1) Find the right moisturizing cream.
We’re not talking your run-of-the-mill hand lotions that dry up in a few seconds. Get a thick cream that penetrates several layers of the skin, so that as skin cells flake off (which happens regardless of the season), the layers underneath are just as hydrated.

The exception to this rule is for your face. Delicate facial skin may not be compatible with heavy creams, especially acne-prone skin. Instead, utilize a face moisturizer, lotion or cream that is meant specifically for use on the face.

2) Moisturize your face twice a day.
Water is a major culprit when it comes to dryness, so each time you wash your face, be sure to apply your moisturizer immediately afterward. That means first thing in the morning before you put on your makeup, and immediately before you go to bed. If you only use a facial cleanser once per day, you should still moisturize – either after your makeup is removed in the evening or before you put it on in the first place.

3) Trap the moisture.
Some good moisturizers can have a slight greasy residue that you don’t want to track around all day. In that case, for full-body emolliating, apply your rejuvenating cream right before bed. Apply it to your hands, arms, legs, shoulders, feet and any other locations where your skin is noticeably dry. (To lock in moisture, you can put on socks afterwards or special gloves meant to trap in moisture overnight.) Once you slide under the covers, the coolness of the sheets will prevent the slickness of your skin from bothering you, and when you wake up in the morning, your body will be softer.

4) Every time you wash your hands, lotion up.
Finally, keep a small bottle of lotion or hand cream at your desk or in your purse where you can easily access it throughout the day. Every time you wash your hands – after using the restroom, and before eating – you should apply your hydrating cream. When you rub it in, make sure to get in between your fingers, your palms and even your wrists, as hand soap and water can reach all those crevices.

Utilize these four tips, and you’ll effectively avoid dry skin all season.

Be natural using moisturizers natural skin lotion with Aloe Vella! We have complete range of dry skin emedies and hair care products as per customers’ skin needs & requirements.

Picking the “Perfect” Lipstick!

Picking the “Perfect” Lipstick!
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Meli_T.]Meli T.

Every woman should own at least one amazing lipstick. Lipstick is a total style accessory, like a stunning pair of heels or a beautiful handbag. And like heels or a handbag, there is no such thing as ‘the’ perfect lipstick. This is a good thing… actually a great thing! It means there are multiple perfect lipsticks for every woman.

For that reason, it bothers me when makeup artists quote blanket rules: Pick a lipstick two shades darker than your natural lip color or, if you have this skin tone, wear this color. You wouldn’t limit yourself in such a way when picking a clutch or pump, right? Lipstick is no different–it is an accessory like any other. Treat it like one.

This is not to say there aren’t some guidelines. Let the following be your framework the next time you find yourself faced with a sea of lipsticks, each one screaming “pick me, pick me!”

Question 1: Do you want a bold or neutral lip?

This is the fundamental question. When picking a lipstick, deciding on the color family feels like the natural starting point. Don’t start there. Instead, start by deciding on either a neutral or bold lip. Lipsticks fall into two general categories: neutral or bold. Neutral lipsticks blend with the rest of your makeup. Bold lipsticks contrast the rest of your face. Boldness results from a lipstick’s “value”, which is ‘the lightness or darkness of a color.’

Keep in mind that not every shade within a color family is bold or neutral. A particular red lipstick can be bold, while another red lipstick can be neutral. Similarly, a color that is neutral on fair skin women may actually be bold on a woman with darker complexion. For this reason, bold or neutral should be your first question.

To determine if you want a bold or neutral lip, ask whether you want your makeup to standout? If no, then go with a neutral lipstick. If yes, then go with a bold lipstick. [Note, you should typically refrain from pairing a bold lipstick with smokey eyes. This is because you don't want both your lipstick and your eyeshadow to be bold--otherwise your face may look too cluttered.]

Question 2: Are you gravitating towards a particular color?

If so, go with it. Let your intuition be your guide. Many makeup artists rely too heavily on rules based on skin tone. If you have skin tone X, they say stick with colors A and B and avoid colors C and D. I find this approach far too rigid. Certainly skin tone can be an important factor when considering a lipstick. But don’t get too wrapped up in it. Rather, view it from the perspective that some colors “compliment” certain skin tones. Of course if you eventually decide a lipstick is too light or too dark for you, you can always darken or lighten. [Just see any one of my featured lipsticks posts for an example of how to alter a lipstick.]

Reds: Typically classified as the boldest choice. Realize, though, that reds vary tremendously. They range from bright to dark to very sheer (meaning they just add a transparent wash of color). Reds can “compliment” all skin tones. Deep pigmented reds flatter medium and darker skin tones.

Pinks: Exceptionally versatile and always very feminine. Pink lipsticks can be good for any occasion.

Corals/Oranges: These colors look great on all skin tones. They especially compliment women with warmer undertones, such as those with a golden complexion and yellow to their skin. This color family is more favorable in warm weather, but can be incorporated year round.

Purples/Plums/Berries: A great choice if you want to add more color to the face. These colors are best for the fall and winter months.

Browns: Great everyday colors that easily pair with the rest of your makeup. Lighter shades tend to blend nicely with more fair complexions and deeper browns suit darker complexions.

Question 3: What is more important to you: lipstick longevity or lipstick comfort?

If you are looking for a lipstick with staying power, go with a matte lipstick.

Matte: Matte lipsticks are the longest lasting lipsticks. They grip the lips and even leave a slight staining effect that won’t easily come off.

If you are looking for a comfortable lipstick, go with a sheer or creamy lipstick.

Sheer: Smooth and shiny. They are very lightweight and usually feel like you are wearing a lip conditioner… it’s possible you may not even realize you’re wearing anything at all. [Note, sheer lipsticks are low pigment and therefore have very little color payoff. Sheers are washes. See Important Consideration below.]

Creamy: Exceptionally smooth on the lips because it contains the most moisture. Great for those with drier lips.

Important Consideration — “Color Payoff”

Color Payoff is the measure of how much a product colors your lips. A seemingly vibrant lipstick may actually be barely visible when on the lips. Such a lipstick is said to have a poor color payoff. Sheer lipsticks have the lowest color payoff. With sheers, expect the lipstick to be more like a ‘wash’ that allows your natural lip color to shine through. On the other hand, matte lipsticks have the greatest color payoff. With mattes, what you see in the canister will basically be what you’re going to get on your lips. Creamy lipsticks typically have moderate color payoff.

To those who have never tried airbrushing makeup it can seem intimidating and difficult. Using a compressor and airgun as well as liquid makeup is very different from the traditional makeup and brushes. However, the fundamental principles of makeup application remain the same and the sooner you pick up an airbrush makeup system, the sooner you will realize how easy it is and will be on your way to creating beautiful HD looks.

The Tools

An airbrush makeup kit is comprised of a compressor, an airbrush (or ‘stylus’) as well as the makeup. The compressor feeds air through a hose which is attached to the airbrush which releases a mixture of air and makeup when the trigger is depressed with the index finger. There are two types of airbrush: a single-action and a dual-action. The single-action only has one setting: a predetermined mix of air and makeup. The dual-action allows more control of the amount of air that is released through the airbrush, thus giving you more control.

The Makeup

There are several types of makeup used in airbrush makeup systems. Alcohol-based, silicone-based and water-based. Both alcohol and silicone can be an irritant to the skin so it is essential to test it on a small area before covering your entire face. Water-based airbrush makeup is simply fine pigments mixed with water and generally feel lighter on the skin. Silicone-based airbrush makeup will produce a more High Definition look but it is important to note that it has very specific reflective qualities which can cause unwanted reflections with a camera-flash or video and film lights.

How It Works

Basically airbrush makeup is a fine mist of tiny particles of liquid makeup that sits on the skin as opposed to being rubbed into the skin. The advantage of spraying droplets of makeup is that you can build up layers to gradually blend the look that you want, resulting in a much more natural look and flawless coverage.

Applying Airbrush Makeup

Very little makeup is used when airbrushing makeup. For foundation 6-12 drops is enough. Many brands will have a large range of foundation shades and can help you find the right shade for you. It is also possible to mix airbrush makeup to find just the right shade – which is done in the airbrush cup and by back-bubbling until the two shades mix. You never want to hold the airbrush closer than 6 inches from your face or further than 12. Use circular motions or a back-and-forth motion and gradually layer the foundation until you have achieved the result you want. Be confident and trust your eye. Keep your wrist steady. Make sure you do the same number of passes on both sides.

When contouring & highlighting, applying blush, eye-shadow or eye-liner a lower PSI is preferable. This allows for more control around difficult areas. For contouring and highlighting you need a shade or two darker such as a bronzer. Applying blush after foundation, contouring and highlighting means that it will stand out more. If you do it before-hand then it will be more subtle. The areas around the eye only require 2 drops of makeup. Be careful not to squint while applying eye-shadow as the makeup will accentuate the lines. It’s a lot easier to apply eye-liner and do your brows with stencils though, with practise, it is possible to do it freehand.

Always remember the golden rule with airbrushing makeup: Less is more!
